P.K. Beville Founder & President of Second Wind Dreams Creator of Virtual Dementia Tour®  and  Author of Second Wind Dreams® was founded in 1997. It’s name derived from the novel by P.K. Beville, a geriatric specialist who wrote about the wonderful, colorful and sometimes hysterical people who live and work in nursing homes. Since 1997, SWD has become involved in more than 400 elder care communities in 40 states, and Canada. Making thousands of dreams come true from the simplest of wishes to the more sublime. The mission of Second Wind Dreams® (SWD) is simple — to change the perception of aging through the fulfillment of dreams and the offering of innovative educational opportunities to caregivers and communities. Second Wind Dreams® is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors.
